Meira Kumar

Meira Kumar (Hindiमीरा कुमार) is an Indian politician and a five time Member of Parliament. She was elected unopposed as the first woman Speaker of Lok Sabha and served from 2009 to 2014.

She is a lawyer and a former diplomat. Prior to being a member of the 15th Lok Sabha, she has been elected earlier to the 8th11th12th and 14th Lok Sabha. She served as a Cabinet Minister in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of Manmohan Singh's Congress led Government (2004–2009).

Jyotirao Phule

Mahatma Jyotirao Govindrao Phule (11 April 1827 – 28 November 1890), also known as Mahatma Jyotiba Phule was an Indian activist, thinkersocial reformer, writer and theologist from Maharashtra. Jyotiba Phule and his wifeSavitribai Phule were pioneers of women's education in India. His work extended to many fields including education, agriculture, caste system, women and widow upliftment and removal of untouchability. He is most known for his efforts to educate women and the lower castes as well as the masses. He, after educating his wife, opened the first school for girls in India in August 1848.

Udit Raj

Udit Raj is an Indian Social Activist and member of National Executive ofBharatiya Janata Party. He was born in Ramnagar, Uttar Pradesh into a low caste Hindu Khatik family, and studied for BA at Allahabad University. He took admission at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 1980. He was selected for the prestigious Indian Revenue Service in 1988 and served as the Dy, Commissioner, Joint Commissioner and Addl. Commissioner of Income Tax at New Delhi. On 24 November 2003 he declared his resignation from the Indian government service and formed a political party namely Indian Justice Party. He is a prominent activist working on behalf of India's Dalits.
